- 1 Tsp red chilli powder
- 1 Tsp coriander powder
- 1 Tsp haldi
- to taste Salt
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 Tsp cumin seeds
- 2-3 choti elaichi
- 2-3 cloves
- 2-3 chopped green chilli
- 1 inch julliened ginger
- 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- as required Hot water
- 1 Tsp Garam masala
- 1 Tsp kasuri methi
- leaves Fresh coriander
Steps to make to make Dahi wale paneer
- Add all the ingredients of marination in a bowl and mix well.Coat the paneer well with the marination and keep aside.
- Add oil in a pan for shallow frying the marinated paneer from all side.Keep aside to be used later
- Boil the cashew nuts and melon seeds together for 7-8 min.Grind it to make a fine paste
- Take a bowl and add curd along with the grinded cashew and melon paste,add the spices and salt to taste.Mix well and keep aside.
- For making a gravy heat mustard oil in a pan.
- When the oil become hot and smoky lower the flame and add jeera, cardamom,clove,green chilli and ginger.
- Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, little water to avoid burning.
- Add prepared curd mixture and stir continuously on low flame.And bring to a boil.
- Cook on medium flame till the oil separates.If the gravy tends to thicken add some hot water and adjust the consistency as per your preference
- Now add shallow fried paneer,garam masala, kasuri methi and cook for 2-3 mins
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Enjoy with chapati
