  3. 1 dozen pav
  4. 2 cucumber thinly sliced

  7. 10 cheese slices
  8. 5-6 Torn Cabbage leaves
  9. 10-12 jalapeno peppers (optional)

  12. 2 teaspoons oregano
  13. 2 teaspoons chilli flakes

  15. 2 raw boiled bananas
  16. 3-4 boiled potatoes

  18. 1/4 cup chopped carrots
  19. 1/4 cup chopped beans
  20. 2 tablespoons chopped capsicum
  21. to taste Black pepper
  22. 1 teaspoon Chaat masala

  29. 1 cup finely chopped onions
  30. 8-10 garlic chopped
  31. 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  32. 1 tablespoon corn flour mixed in 4 tablespoons water
  33. 1/2 cup ketchup
  34. 2 teaspoons Soya sauce
  35. 1 tablespoon vinegar
  36. 1 teaspoon oregano
  37. 3 tablespoons jaggery/brown sugar
  38. to taste Salt
  39. 2 tablespoons butter

Steps to make to make Veg Patty Subway Pav with Barbeque sauce

  1. Mash boiled bananas and potatoes.
  2. In a pan melt butter, add onions, carrot, beans and green peas. Saute for few minutes.
  3. Add mashed bananas and potatoes.
  4. Add salt, pepper and chaat masala.
  5. Mix well and set aside to cool.
  6. Once cooled add broken bread slices, mix well and make patties.
  7. Deep or shallow fry as preferred. Our Veg Patties are ready
  8. For making sauce, in a pan heat butter, add garlic and onions. Saute till onions turn golden brown.
  9. Once done add corn flour and water mixture.
  10. Add tomato ketchup, soya sauce, vinegar, chilli flakes and all the spices. Mix well so the corn flour gets cooked and the sauce thickens a little.
  11. This how it looks once done. Semi liquid thick gravy like consistency. Barbeque sauce is ready too.
  12. Make a cut from the center in the pavbuns. Heat butter in a pan add oregano and chilli flakes, roast the pav tops in the pan
  13. Assemble the subway sandwich in our very own Indian pavs. Lay the cabbage leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, onion rings, capsicum, then the patties. Pour a generous tablespoon of the barbeque sauce and lay some jalapeno, olives, a cheese slice over it.
  14. Apply some sauce on one side of the pav buns, it helps the buns to stick to fillings. Place the bun tops over filling and press gently.
  15. You can prepare any which way according to your family likings, there are no strict rules.
